NBC Showrunner Dinner

Art Direction

Event Design & Production: Angel City Designs

Problem

NBC’s annual Showrunners Dinner at Spago Beverly Hills required custom centerpieces that could represent multiple TV shows in a refined, cohesive way. Each piece needed to capture a show’s unique identity while working together as part of a unified, elevated dining experience for an international audience.

Solution

I art directed the concept, design, and production of custom-themed floral centerpieces in collaboration with CJ Matsumoto & Sons and Angel City Designs. I developed initial concepts for each show, translating narrative themes and visual tone into floral forms, color palettes, and arrangements. In the final year, I incorporated AI-assisted exploration during early concept development to accelerate ideation and alignment with stakeholders.

Results

The centerpieces became a standout element of the dinner, enhancing the overall ambiance while clearly expressing each show’s identity. The success of the work led to Angel City Designs being awarded the project for two additional consecutive years. AI-assisted concepting reduced approval rounds from three to one, significantly improving creative efficiency and speed to approval.
